Hmmmm not sure about this one AntB... I guess it's a personal thing so if you like it then that's all that matters. I would check first on what it's made off and how it fits to the chassis. It looks very flat so may just be made up of something like MDF and then covered. what ever it is it's a hell of a lot of work to remove the old one and put in this one , more so since it's custom made.

good luck...[8D]

I know one man's meat s another man's poison and all that, but you gotta be kidding me. It looks like a 70s Karmann VW dash.

My dash would have to be falling apart for me to fit this. It looks as if belongs in a kit car and the figure of £400 is unreal. I have used professional trimmers with leather and to do that would be under £300.

My solution is superglue gel, carefully put tape alongside the edges of the cracks and squeeze gel into the cracks, maybe do it several times if they are bad, when it has reached the level of the dash and dried, take the tape off and carefully scrape excess gel off with a razor blade. Then use a Mr Sheen type polish on the dash a few times and it looks like new. I amazed myself with my ability !

Yes - It was a "tongue in cheak" post fella's...

As you say - each to there own and all - but there is NO WAY I would replace my, what I think is a great dash the 944 oval, with this one...

Funny how things stick in your mind. [;)]

I'm not keen on it myself and would be concerned that the gauges would be obscured by the steering wheel.

I guess it could make a possible basis for a utilitarian track car dash but then it would be better in nice light GRP or aluminium.

Yes this triumph of automotive interior design has been up for sale before - can't believe he couldn't shift it last time. [;)]

Didn't he have a website detailing how it was created ? From memory it involved some hacked about sheets of MDF and little else. Another one to put into the category of "Why?" [&:]
