This is a great opportunity for PCGB members to get a free assessment from IAM instructors.
The event will be run from the Open University in Milton Keynes (Walton Hall Milton Keynes MK7 6AA). IAM has use of one of the main car parks and will have plenty of space to parking etc, There will be tea and coffee for those attending.
Each session will last for approx 2 hours and involve a short briefing then the assessed drive with one of the IAM's MK Advanced Motorists, IAM's qualified Observers. Once done a de brief will take place and a score sheet with areas for possible improvement will be written up as a take away for the individual. It is important to note that IAM is not there to ever criticise someone's driving, they are there to help people improve it, which everyone can try to do every time they drive, that is why IAM call it a "Skill for Life".
There will be 3 sessions on the day with 8 slots for each session
09.30 to 11.30 with 8 places
12.00 to 14.00 with 8 places
14.30 to 16.30 with 8 places
Bookings will be on a first come first served basis. To reserve a place please e mail pete.w.barton@gmail.com by 13th June, stating a choice of the session you would like. Peter will confirm the place and session by return of e mail.
We want this to be an enjoyable day for all involved, it is important to note that all the IAM members are volunteers and give their time for no reward other than sharing a passion for cars and driving safely but with positive progress always at the forefront of the driving style.
There is no requirement for any on-going commitment to IAM membership and it will be up to individuals if they wish to undertake further activities or training with IAM.
