Got an ESS exhaust and decat so got an original standard S2 exhaust to give away[] I live in Stonehouse near Hamilton just off the M74 all you have to do is come and collect it. It is in good condition but does have an aftermarket chrome end bit that doesn't look as good as the original S2 chrome bit. I think it is a genuine Porsche item and is from the triangular flange back. If you want it let me know when you can collect.

Colin,
I'm very interested (the back box on my S2 having an annoying loose baffle) but I'm in London!
I'd be very happy to refund you postage, plus a few beer tokens, if you could package it up and send it to me (I know this isn't what you offered, but I'm asking nicely!)
Please/Thanks!
Oli.

Colin,
Thanks - I got the PM, and should have replied.
I'm pondering what to do! But should have let you know.
Is the rear silencer a removable part (less than 1.5m long)? That's the bit I am most interested in ... could it be sent seperately? I know this is a cheeky ask - tell me to push off if you'd rather.

Oli,
Unfortunarley the only way to remove the rear silencer would be with an angle grinder, it would probably cost you more than the difference in postage to get it all welded back together..........If you are anything like me you will want a new chrome tail piece welded on anyway so maybe not financially viable simply due to shipping! Do you know anyone who travels up this way.....just a thought,
Colin

Gents - as posted in another thread ~ If you're looking for a courier you could do a lot worse than use THIS SITE
Contact Simon and tell him mik sent you ~ he'll look after you and can offer better prices than most - but it's essential both parties are in at the agreed time for collection / delivery or he takes the hit for the re-delivery fee (so please don't mention my name then let him down [&:] )

Colin,
Thanks I see the point about cutting and re-welding!
Can I let you know? (I'd like to get my car up in the air to see whether it really is the rear silencer which is rattling, and then decide. I should be able to do this on Friday.) If it is diffcult to wait then just bin it.
Thanks.

Colin,
I *think* I have found the source of my irritating rattle - a read brake disk backplate (as per this thread here:
http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=377583 )
I haven't yet tested it, but am pretty confident this is the problem. So I may well not need your exhaust. (I checked mine while I was under the car, and it looks to be in good order.)
I am very torn about paying the transport costs to have it delivered, as spare parts are always a good thing (and I hate to think of useable bits going in the bin) but I think I may just save the £45.
Can I confirm when I have driven the car, to see whether it really is fixed?

Or £17.50 if you used the link I posted Oli [&:] []
Edit : And I know they'll take an S2 exhaust without surcharge 'cos I used them when I sold my ESS system to Graham.
