Fresh air intake scoop missing

I've only now realised that after my 996 had been in for a water pipe replacement some months ago, the garage obviously had to remove the Fresh Air Intake Scoop to get access etc ... But omitted to replace it! - I've asked them to have a good search but I fancy it will be to no avail.

Does anyone know how I can get one? After all it's a simple piece of moulded plastic ... Searching the net it seems to appear it's like Rocking Horse uknowhat!

Grateful for thoughts

Give your local porsche dealer a call - you might find a new part will be cheaper than eBay for something like this.

Mmm ... yeah would but it's been a few months since the work was done & it wasn't until it went into OPC for major service that it was noticed it'd gone ... and I just can't prove it I'm afraid. It was an emergency job I had to get done the day before I had to drive around Europe so I used a specialist & not OPC. They're looking around the workshop but there's no 'ownership' going on just what you'd expect, quote "well all parts removed are replaced" ... But NOT on this occasion! Just can't prove it - so annoying!

Is this the part integral to the front pu or the silicone rubber that surrounds the air-con/radiator? The first part should be found on ebay if you're patient, but the 2nd could be more tricky. I suspect the latter will be an expensive item, but no harm calling OPC for a price - a breakers could be the best bet.
