Front brake air ducts.

If I remove my front fog lights on my lux, are there any manufacured ducts that fit into these holes as you often see on various 911 RS models ?
 
I didn't find anything, although I'm sure that one of the off the shelf ducts from Demon Tweaks and the like could easily be modified. If you still have power steering I think you'll find the cooling pipes are behind the one on the left, so you'll need to move them first. You might find that cutting the back of the narrow slot beneath the fog light openings is another good source of air (I used it for oil cooling) but it would be a bit more tricky to route it to the brakes I guess.

I have to admit that with the right pads/fluid I never found the need for extra brake cooling (although I imagine wheel design will have a bearing on this, Cup 1's do seem to have nice large openings), so I just blanked the empty fog light openings with an off cut of carbon sheet.
 
+1 Demon Thieves. They have a selection of black ABS ducts and Im confident that youll find on that can be trimmed down to fit. If you lok at their website you can order the substantial motorsport catalogue for free, then take it from there.

That is what I would look into, or ask Kevin at EMC what they use on the race cars. I have a couple of metres of old reticulated hosing for making ducting back in my parents garage to use as well. That stuff can be pricey. I have 968 duct kits on both cars and these work really well without having to mod the cars body work, however I am led to believe that a proper ducting set up like the racers use is much more effective.

BTW I had/have some purpose made ducts that came from some place in brum that I can't remember. The quality was awfull so I never fitted them and TBH I think I have lost them by now.

Neil, are these the 'deflectors' that fasten to the struts &/or lower suspension arm?
 
Yes, its 2 pieces, the deflector which mounts on the bottom arm and the cowl which mounts on the strut and fits around the back of the disk. For me the cowl is more impressive and eventually I am hoping to re-use it in combination with some ducting which will be mounted up in the fog light position with a duct (like on the race cars where the fog light combo is replaced with a smaller driving light and a brake duct). I found that when I upgraded the S2 to the 968 kit the brake fade I would sometimes get just went.
