Swapped the pads over today as the EBC reds are starting to groove the front discs they also sqeal like a sqealy thing !

The car is fitted with MO30 Blacks the inside pad on each calliper ws a pig to get out but there does not appear to be any plate lift, i also could not remove the inboard shim again on both sides that sits in the piston they were stuck in the top piston the outers were both fine ?

To get them out i will have to destroy them no doubt, my 86 turbo does not have these fitted although they are a smaller calliper, what are peoples recommendations for running without are they just a anti sqeal shim ?

Do i need them ?

Happy new year to everyone it is also my birthday tomorrow, we cannot go out as er indoors is crippled with serious flu, just about to crack a bottle of black stump open.

Just replaced mine with mintex pads and you can't fit the shims to them. As said a good smear of copper grease is the key. Not had a peep from mine since I did them [:)]
