Behind the side-markers or through the spoiler just in-front of the wheels?

There are 3 of the torq screws at the front underside and found 2 on either side in front of wheels, 7 fitted in total but have 9 screws

The ones behind indicator, behind arch liner and one in front of wheels are smaller and have a Philips head, the ones left are larger ones with a torq heads same as the 7 I fitted.

Had no joy finding where they go

Tash,

Tash,

Although this link is for a 996, it shares the same front end structure as your 986. If you look at post #5, it may give you a clue.

Also, here's the parts catalogue (PET) for the 986. Check out Main Group 8: Body (802: bumper).

Hi< I have a 986 and recently removed the bumper. There are 2 screws on top, there are 3 underneath, there is 1 each side through the side repeater and there is one each side behind the wheel liner.

Hi again, On my 986, the only Torq screws with large washer were the 3 that fitted underneath the car. all other screws were philip heads

Think I have it Sussed thanks to Motörhead, 2 of the smaller screws I put in underside in front of wheels go behind indicators from bumper up in to wing and the 2 I have spare go in the underside

Thanks motohead
