Front bumper

Anyone know what the rectangular hole is for (11/2" X 21/2") on the underside of the off side front bumper ? [:)]
It seems to line up with the inside front corner of the off side air con condenser!

Only ask because the car has just been in for the front bumper to be resprayed under warranty and I can't remember seeing the hole there before it went away.

The car was pre owned and purchased from an OPC. It had been repaired by a non Porsche agent. I suppose "under warranty" may be a bit mis-leading. The dealer repaired it after me noticing the poor quality repair.
