Hi to all you budding mechanics

just got two new TRW front coffin arms from Mr Auto . com

They've been out of stock for a while but now available and Im sure anyone knowing the price usually 110.00 plus and at just 65 reach a real bargain.

Happy spanners day.

Thanks for that Sam. Just ordered 4 and I'll see if I get them this time. The last order lasted about 4 hours before they cancelled it due to no stock. Of course the site has had them in stock ever since, I just didn't believe them!

Well you wont get them, they havent got any, DO NOT ORDER ANY FROM MISTER AUTO!! Have you actually got them in your hands Sam or have they just taken an order? They are a disgrace of a company, tread carefully!

Indeed - complete waste of time again..

The following parts are currently unavailable :
4 x Track Control Arm TRW - ref : JTC1170 (£65.80)

Or a total amount of : £264.77
Due to the unavailabilité of the parts concerned, we regret that we have to cancel your entire order and proceed to providing you with a refund.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and hope to welcome you soon on our website.

Its time they did the decent thing and actually marked them as out of stock.

Hi there

I've used this company on many occasions and always had delivered what I've ordered.

The only exception has been the coffin arms.

Yes I've ordered them several times now and yes they took the order and then cancelled it - however on this occasion they arrived - brilliant.

So in general this company has come through for me on many times, as a result I now have a full suspension set for the front end including track rod ends inner and outer, tie bars, coffin arms etc

Thank you Mr Auto

You were very lucky, I have never heard of a happy customer before, only ones with the experience of the 3 previous posters!

Mr Auto has always provided me with good service. The alternator they sent was sold as OEM was an actual Porsche one and only cost £150. Delivery has always been fast. Use them for my turbo, BMW, VW and ford parts. Mate uses them for Subaru and Honda parts. Speaking from personal experience only.

I think the issue is that they seem to refuse to mark out of stock items as actually out of stock. Coffin arms from TRW, which is OEM, have been in very short supply for ages or very expensive - I've been quoted £250 each.
I put this to them last time but the answer was PR rubbish that didn't address the question.

ETA - just checked again and yes still in stock apparently. Yet clearly they aren't.

Hi there, I've used Mr auto several times now and their prices and delivery is brilliant, its all OEM and delivery is included in the price quoted so you don't need to worry about adding extra pounds to your order.
The coffin arms are OEM and direct from TRW, they are the only parts that have been on back order so am happy now in receipt.
I don't work for them but do like to get value for money and have tried to share my savings with all you dissbaleivers but it seems that you are in the main all too bitter and twisted to recognise a good buy.
Have fun and pay over the odds at all those top Porsche parts suppliers who are busy taking your money off you while smilling all the way to the bank.
The real question isn't dissbalief but is - if Mr auto can do all this for small pound notes then why can't the rest of the suppliers do similar, most won't even give pcgb discount!
Happy days

David
Why not order the parts instead of pressumjng that they are not available.
It may be that TRW have actually committed metal to the manufacture of the arms due to much demand and have made the back order an now have a warehouse full?:)

But thats the point Mike, they dont have them! Many of us have ordered from them, some of us on more than one occasion and they cant deliver!

You are the first person I have ever heard of to get these TRW coffin arms from them in at least 6 months, probably more like 9 months

When TRW get them produced all suppliers will get them, Mr Auto wont be the first or only recipient

Most of us are just hacked off that they promise they have them, allow you to order them ad pay for them, then tell you they dont have them and you have to wait 4 days for a refund!

How easy would it be to get their website working? Simples...........

Mike T911 is right.
I've ordered from Mr Auto twice in the last 6 weeks and twice they have none despite their website still saying they have.
I know TRW coffin arms are in very short supply which is why people are buying Meile ones but TRW are OEM and I'd prefer that.
I imagine if they have a part their service is acceptable but they aren't upfront when they haven't. All we are doing is running money through their accounts for them to earn off.

TRW arms have not been around for 9 months, fact

If Mr Auto supplied you with 2, can you please advise me of your lottery numbers as I really think you have been luckier than many big money winners!
