hi again i think one of my front discs is slightly warped when i am putting my brakes i can feel it throught the pedal i have had a look at the discs and thay still look like new so instead of going buying new ones i have been told that i can have them re'skimmed is this true

Yes it's true, but probably wouldn't be recommended by Porsche. It depends on how much of the discs thickness is left and how much needs to be machined away to flatten them off. You may also still need to replace the pads, as you would with new disks.

I had it done just to remove some rust pitting from the inside of my front disks a couple of years ago. Disks become thinner over time anyway due to wear.

It also depends on the type of motoring you do too. If you are going to put it straight onto a track for a weekend trackday session then probably not a good idea.

Just my humble opinion, there will be other views I'm sure.[;)]

before you go spending any money worth giving the discs a work out by doing some fairly hard progressive braking 70 down to 40 or so, should do it . Often does the trick as the discs can glaze and also pick up pad material which gives a similar feeling to a warped disc. Be suprised if the disc is actually warped.
