Front Door Speakers

All,

Need to replace the front door speakers as I have broken a speaker cover.

Anyone know of a set that will be a direct fit and I wont need to cut of modify anything..

Has your speaker aperture already been modified to accept modern speakers with a larger cone? I.e. a spacer ring has been placed between the grill and the door card. If not you will almost certainly have to do it. There are threads on how to do it on here somewhere. Essentially it is not very difficult to do.
 
You say that you have broken the speaker cover. I think that you will find that these speakers came as you see them (ie without a cover/grill)
 
THanks chaps.. Looked more closely this morn and they are actually Kenwood speakers.. Would that be factory or has someone 'upgraded' them?

There doesnt seem to be any plate or adaptor tho...

The factory ones were blaupunkt, so if youve got Kenwood,s then theve been changed ...
If you are wanting another set of 6/4,s then i have a brand new pair of JBL,s that i bought to change mine with, but never got round to it..
Make me an offer..??
 
Those Pioneers on the link are exactly the same as the ones in mine (so yes they do fit). If you've cracked a cover, just replace the cover - not the speaker. Plastic covers are dead cheap, mesh ones are a lot more expensive. I needed a pair of mesh ones and paid about £45 from an OPC [:mad:].
