front end engine rattle

Hi

I'm looking at buying a S2, I found one locally and it's in very good nick apart from a rattle at the front end, I think is may be the belts/tensioners, the rattle decreases when the engine is reved. Do you think I'm correct?

I've been quotes between about £500 to £1000 to replace the belts rollers etc. Does this seem right?

I'd ask a specialist to take a look. Could involve cams as well....[
