front grill drivers side sensor?

looking at the car today, i see what looks like a sensor in the drivers side (rhd) front grill, what is this? i have no on board computer, so cant work it out, also on both sides, inside the bumper near the wings are 1 either side small cylinders, clipped to the inner lining

what are they for anyone know?
 
You probably do have an OBC (computer) but without the lower-left stalk, you can't select the data. Need an expert - where's Richard or Mark...?

PCM is Porsche Communication Management - the optional big screen in the middle. In certain modes (at least with PCM2) the outside temperature is displayed along the bottom of the screen.
 
I was told that you can enable the outside temperature to display without having the On board computer option. However I do not know how this is done but I think it involves telling the Car software to display the temperature.
