Hi All, I have a Cayman 987 gen 2 2012 car, does anyone know if they do a set of front mud guards? I guess they only need to be really small rather like the ones that protrude down in front of the rear wheels. Maybe such a thing does exist, or has anyone adapted something to fit? The front wheel arches have been attacked by stone chips as expected. I am having the front end, bumper, wings and bonnet repainted shortly and would like to protect the work that will be done. Like Andrew I’ve not seen anything for sale for your Cayman and agree that your best bet is take the PPF route. The 987’s sills have some sort of mastic applied beneath the paint layer which provides some stone-chip protection, and it’s important to ensure that this is preserved if you’re having that area repainted.

I bought a set for my 996 many years ago from the US. I took them off when I sold it, and tweaked them to suit my 987.1. They didn't look particularly obtrusive, and helped keep the car clean(er) as I used to work at the end of an unmade road, which got a bit muddy in winter.
