Front/Rear Lid opening switch

The switch on the door sill for opening the front & rear lids is faulty on my '07 987S.
The button for the front lid has been a bit 'sloppy' since I got the car, but now refuses to operate at all. The lid still opens fine when I activate it from the key fob.
Does anyone know if its a DIY job to remove/replace the switch, or if there's a repair solution?

My switch failed last year. I checked on ebay but a replacement switch was cheaper from my local OPC who offered to fit it free of charge as it is a 5 minute job. I had almost enough time for a (free) coffee whilst they did it.
