Front Seat Dramas

The first thing to go wrong with my 996 in two years this week has turned out to be a piece of cake to fix. My driver's seat (right hand drive) started moving slightly on the right hand side under breaking and acceleration. I took the seat out for a look and found that a small spring had come off the top of one of four rods that engage through the holes in the runner (only two at any one time). I was able to put it back and it seems to be as good as new. I've attached some photos. Easy. If only all the faults I've had were that simple!

Good, easy fix!

There is no need to worry about the airbag light when taking out the seat on a UK 996. Only on the US cars are the seat buckles connected to the airbag system.

They're such rubbish cars, aren't they? Amazed anyone would ever want one......[:D]

Seriously though, nice little report.
