front shockers

Dear All,
having never used this forum untill a couple of weeks ago,it now seems I have endless questions...so...
I am about to replace my front shockers...they are,apparntly,the originals! But are now starting to leak.
I have a 73 E... any thoughts on replacements? I use the car for tame rallies but would want the best for road use rather than track or thrashing.
 
On an E they may be, although it's unlikely, be Hydropneumatic struts, for which parts are no longer available. Otherwise they will be Boge (black), Koni (orange) or Bilstein (green) struts, so you need to identify them first. Replacement inserts are available from EuroCarParts for Boge and Bilstein. Konis can be more difficult to find, but it's worth asking ECP.
 
Mine are green Bilstein.
When I replaced my rears I bought them from Motorsport World
