Front splitter colour?

My front splitter has a few small stone chips that are annoying me, as well as a few on the lower bumper immediately above the splitter.

Isn't the splitter a different colour to the rest of the car? It's hard to tell against Seal Grey, but it's very obvious on my mate's Basalt Cayman S. Does anyone have the colour code?

As I remember it, splitters and side grilles are same colour so if your side grilles are Seal Grey then so should the splitters be, otherwise I think they were referred to as Alu-look. Quite a few had the contrast on the early Caymans but if they were close to silver in colour then the grilles were generally done in Black. Mine is a 56 plate '07 model splitters and grilles are body colour, I wish the undercoat matched the top coat each stone chip shows as a brilliant speck.

Tanks Buddy. My eyes weren't playing tricks on me then, I couldn't tell the difference between my splitter and bumper, the fact they're both the same colour explains it! [:D] Here are a few pics by the way - definitely think it needs bigger wheels.

Looks nice! I like the design of the Cayman S wheels and have at times considered getting a set for winter tyres but my favourites are the Carrera Classics, neat five spokes and easy to clean. Mind you there are a few nice 19's. Especially on the Gen 2 range. Have fun and stay safe.

The very first batch of Cayman S cars had the splitter painted silver. This detail was fairly quickly dropped and they were (I think) body colour thereafter. The Cayman 2.7 came with the splitter in black.

Great looking car. I think the wheels look ok that size myself, although I like the Boxter Spyder ones too.
