Front splitter will it fit?

Johns right. The shape of the front wings at the front is different between Lux and S2 models, therefore an S2 front will not fit. There are a few aftermarket front panels around designed to fit on to a Lux and give the S2/ Turbo look

Cheers this info has saved me wasting ÂŁ100 on a splitter that wouldnt have fitted.Does that mean that only 1986-1989 models splitters only will fit my 86 model?[8|]

When you say splitter do you mean the whole front bumper? If so it's nothing to do with year; the badge panel, headlight covers and front wings of all S2 and Turbo models are different to all other 944s.

If on the other hand you just mean the bit under the bumper then that will only fit with the S2/Turbo bumper.

It was just the trim under the bumper which Iam told comes as either a trim or as part of the engine undersheild?

That is indeed a splitter.

I believe you can get a Lux splitter, though I've not seen one myself.

I am sure that Porsche designed the balance of power and aerodynamics on the Lux to not need a splitter? I have the original venturi-effect rear valance. Pictured left. [;)]

I'm off to find a splitter........

It does look nice. If someone were to find one, and make a mould, I would think they might sell a good few - it being a Porsche replica and not a Chav upgrade.

I'm assuming the rear window insert is an internal version of the rear window louvres favoured by the "stripes and fury dice" brigade of the 70's. Seeing how all these things go in cycles they must be ripe for a come back. I think it would look the veritable dogs danglies on the inside of the rear screen on a '44, very pseudo mid engined super car.

No, it's just some dark Lexan the same shape as the glass, AKAIK. I'll post a piccy later...

Assuming Jim is right and it isn't as you describe I still think you should make it. As you once said to me "that sounds like a well thought out and considered modification. You must do it now, it's the law"

Nah! Grey polycarbonate double glazing sounds tank [;)]. I like my idea better.

I've got to get a louvre grill for a job - perhaps I should get some extra bits while I'm about it.
