Hello, I've just bought my first Porsche, a 1998 Boxster and had major service and appraisal carried out. I've been told it has a cracked front spring, I want to get this booked in and done but was looking for some advice/tips on what else to do at the same time? I'd prefer to and will do both sides at the same time so I know they're done, I'm just wondering what else to do while its in? Thanks in advance...

If nothing else was mentioned in the appraisal then if this showed nothing else there is nothing else to do IMHO. Some other issue will occur soon enough I think......

Normally when the strut is out we end up doing top mounts, bearings And bump stops. You should use a new top nut too.
Droplinks can be difficult to get out. Worth having a set to hand, just in case.

I have a 987 Boxster with strange in-car telephone access by inserting a SIM into a slot in the dash.
This I find very impractical.
Is there a mod that can be made to provide Bluetooth or a handsfree kit?
I have a dual-SIM phone and can receive calls to either SIM via Bluetooth in my VW Sharan.
Thanks, Paul
