Not having 20mm spacers? Seriously though, why?
21mm spacers are a Porsche part and were fitted to 944 Cup cars and 964 Cup cars. Yes you will need longer studs.
Even with 21mm spacers on my 944's and 968's the front wheel bearings regular re-packing if being raced or for track use. Donington is demanding on wheel bearings for example.
Wheel adapters on the other hand have built in studs. They bolt to your hubs and the rims bolt to the adapters. You will of course require an additional full set of lug nuts.
I have a set of 4 adapters I am putting on eBay soon as I have decided to run 'Custard' without adapters and thereby run it as it left the factory.
I use a pair of 21mm spacers, of course, on 'Kermit' to space out the 9.5J Cup 1 rims at the rear.
because stance I know I know but this is not a racecar, I think the bearings should be able to handle themedh said:Not having 20mm spacers? Seriously though, why?
oh that is a good shout too. I'll probably go and find some breakers.944 man said:Id fit the longer studs and spacers from the rear of a series one 944. Not quite as wide, but nearly and both safe and cheap.
