Front window wiper

Hi,
When I was driving in the rain just resently my front window wiper started to act a bit "funny". The function that makes it start, then hold for 3 sek or so, and start again just wouldn`t work. (Sorry for my bad English. I dont know the proper word for this function :))
And when I try the other wiperspeeds - it wipes but if I stop it manually when the wiper is pointing towards the roof it stops right there and doesn`t go back to the start position. If I start it again it starts fine, but it wont stop at the start position if i`m not lucky to stop it just there... Could the problem be the relay for the wiper? Is there a relay for the wipers? :)

Hi Tony!

I had the same problem. Turned out to be worn out switches on the wiper stalk. Had to replace the entire stalk unit. Quite common for these to wear out!

Yes , second Andy. He is spot on. Andy may know this, not sure if you can remove switches and clean them? Probably one of those b****** jobs and they probably break as you remove them?
