My front wishbone bushes are squeeking. V common problem apparently.

I Have changed some suspension copmponents on my 5 series.
but have had a look and it really looks a pain to do on the drive.
Camtune have quoted £120 per arm, plus 1hr lab per side.

I have it booked in for a service next week,
So my question is would you get them done or not ?
Handling still seems fine, just annoying squeek over bumps at slow speeds.

WD40 ?
If only it was that easy........

The squeaking will get worse and worse until it drives you crazy. It depends how long you can tolerate it.

£120 sounds about right (+VAT, of course). What's Camtune's labour rate by the way?

edit: 9 times out of 10 it's the driver's side which is the problem. Whatever - just get the one done that needs doing.

Hi Richard,

Oh done the WD40 , silicone grease, and yes if only if was that easy!

I think Camtunes labour rate is £65 / hr + vat.
Got mine booked in for a minor service next week, so was wondering to just get the lot done in one go.

The squeaking isn't that bad at the moment only at slow speeds over rough roads.

As you say it's how much you can put up with it.

Got a trip planned to the ring in Aug so I am more interested if you think it affects the handling.
Doesn't seem to.

Cheers
Ben.

WD40!! Me and my big mouth - my car started the same noise from the front drivers side. Does anyone know which part it is that needs replacing - may do it myself.
