Frontal Crashworthiness

This is an area I have tiny reservation about with a 911, - fuel tank in the front etc.
If you meet a clown on the wrong side of the road, would you be better off in a 964 or a 3.2 Carrera?

I think the 964 has a distinct advantage with a plastic tank positioned between the struts than a steel one behind the bumper.

I know a 944 is a better bet than either.

Perhaps you don't think it matters, or I'm getting old and crusty[8|]

goodnight

Personally I think it's pretty irrelevant, a significant proportion of cars on the road today are that much higher than a 911 that they'd come straight up the bonnet and hit the windscreen !

then carry on straight over the top and out the back....

so you can just drive off nonchalantly, perhaps with a slight look over your shoulder.

OR you could brake !
OR you could swerve !
OR you could accelerate away from the danger !

HAVE FUN! STOP WORRYING.

Keep the space saver wheel in -it's part of the deformable structure..............

having put the front of 2 964's through crash testing (a deer in the c4 and a transit in the cupcar) i can testify to the strength of these cars..[]
