The date ( Sunday 6th April) has been set for this event and full details will aopear in the February edition of Porsche Post that will reach you at the end of January.

Just a taster.

A meeting of front engine Porsches with special cars on show in Cornbury House.

A free to members car boot type Autjumble ( strictly no tables of white vans) so that you can sell that bit that wasn't worth setting up an Autojumble stand for.

A Rally of approximately 50 miles starting and ending at Cornbury House taking in a number of check points. Entrants completing the course to receive a certificate. All cars will be issured with a Rally Plate, tulip maps and window sticker. Strictly Club Members only and limited to 100 cars. Entry fee £5 (provisional)

Contact your Register Secretary for more details

Apologies if I'm missing something obvious, but what part of the UK is this set in? Just roughly?

*Edit: Okay, ignore me. Google says that Cornbury House is in Gloucestershire. Didn't twig that is was the club HQ!

Excellent news Geoff.

I can't think of a better man to do a tulip rally. [:)] I'm looking forward to some particularly drivable Cotswoldian roads.

This year's Frontrunners looks as if it will be leagues ahead of previous events. Nothing's finalized, but I'd say get booked as soon as the rally tickets are released - they will sell out fast. Plan to come anyway, it'll be a great day out and Cornbury House is in the middle of some great driving countryside.

Also keep an eye out for the Cotswold Rally, again this was booked solid last year and great fun for those who got in early enough!

Our main Register event is Silverstone Classic again, so if you've got an interesting car for the Register display let me know. And, get the dates in your diaries before anyone else in your family books anything! [:D]

Our main Register event is Silverstone Classic again,

Dates please [:)] I do not want to miss the classic again by getting the Missus book a holiday to coincide [&:]

Maybe we should have a sticky for the main 944 events of 2008?

Frontrunners - April 6th

Cotswold Rally - April 27th

Silverstone Classic - 25, 26, 27th July

Sticky a good idea - over to the IT specialists.....[&:]

The good news is that the imminent new website will have a far better system for me to run things like an events calender. Or mess it up. []

Really enjoyed Frontrunner last year (right up to the warm wine and packet of crisps at Porscheshop at least [;)]) so will certainly be grabbing a ticket. Am determined to partake in the Cotswold rally too next year. Plus Silverstone of course !
