I'm pleased to report that following the success of the last event I can announce:

FRONTRUNNER - 1st May 2005

Come and join us at FRONTRUNNER 2005; the second Club meeting of all front engined Porsche cars, the first was a great success and saw a large grouping of every model - including the biggest turnout of 968 cars seen together!
The event will be much the same format as last year with an organised run out with route map, special guests, model line ups, a display of one car each outside the Club Office entrance, hot snacks to buy on site as well as the facilities of Cornbury House including the Club shop. I look forwards to seeing you at Porsche Club GB, Cornbury House, Cotswold Business Village, Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, GL56 0JQ from 11am.

Hi Paul,

I notice a discussion on the 912 forum about getting enamel grille badges made to celebrate 40 years in 2005. Any thoughts on us doing something similar for the 30th anniversary? (I know we don't have a grille to stick it to, but I'm sure we can come up with something).

It may help offset some of their costs if there's another order for badges (even if they are different)

cheers .......... Phil

thats not a bad idea, but wear to put it- no thats not a request for whitty puns. hummmm....thinking ......

I think I'll bring the white shark this time Paul. Think of it as two 944 engines in a 'vee'

ok guys its not here yet but its coming, so lets drum up trade. I enjoyed last year but it seemed to be over far to soon. SO this year lets make it a DAY to remember, turn up in mass and lets fill the HQ with the best front engined Porsche there is, and show all the other models a thing or two. (Like clarkson said "the 924 was the star of the show"). So polish them up and roll them out, we have a rep to up keep [:D]

Marc

are there designated parking spaces? i.e 924 area, 944 area... and so on? should be able to get there, would be nice to finally take the car on a long run! Andy

There will indeed be long lines of specific models - indeed last year was chock-a-block full and quite a sight to behold.

Look forwards to seeing you there [:)]

hi boys and girls

i have been messing about over the last couple of weeks with this and that. I have cut some wing mirror stickers for the Front Runner event, they are simple to put on and even easier to remove leaving no mess, i would show you a picture but i dont seem to be able to at the mo[] are any of you interested in getting one as i have twenty in BLACK and twenty in RED, this would make the 924 forum stand out alittle from the rest [:D]

Marc

if you fancy one just post me an e-mail with address and i will send you one
my e-mail address can be found at the bottom of this message

Planning to be there - coming up from the far SW, perhaps/possibly with a 944 s2 Cab joining in as well.

A Big thanks to Paul for organising this event what a great turn out of 924s,928s and 968s shame about the Cayennes being too shy to attend...maybe next year.

we really enjoyed the video/slide show and talk about the Plymouth to dakka rally in a 924 really wish i was brave anough to do something like that.

And a big thank you from me for all the help from staff and membership today, and during the run up to the event.

Thanks to Helen Goff and Marc Gough for marshalling vehicles - Robin Walker for sorting the display vehicle and more, Nick Fearn for providing the display car, Geoff Ives for compiling the afternoon run and for arranging the food, also to Mike Rees and Louisa Harvey and all the Club Office staff, plus thanks to the Club Shop manager.

Thanks to Nick Gibbs and Simon Laidlaw for their excellent (and amusing) hour long presentation - and to Porsche cars for providing a vehicle for them to travel down to Cornbury House in.

...and for member Derek Brown for his perseverence (traffic queues and overheating woes) and still making it to the event and enjoying himself.

Indeed thanks to everyone who turned up today [:)]

Shall we do it again next year?! [;)]

As usual fantastic pictures

If you were at FrontRunner then there is a good chance that your car will be on Ricks website [:)]
