A 924 should never rest for long, so take a Sunday morning drive to Cornbury House on 6th April 2008.
Come and meet at this unique Porsche Club event which features every front engine Porsche road car model 924, 924 Carrera GT, 944, 968, 928 as well as the new generation Cayenne model.

If you wish you can also sign up in advance for the optional 50 mile FrontRun starting and ending at Cornbury House. It will cost you £5 (provisional price) to get on the starting list, apply via your Register Secretary to be sure of a place. You will receive a sticker, a tulip map, a rally plate for your car, this year will feature checkpoints to find and log. Once you have completed the route you will also receive a certificate "" PCGB members only "" 50 car limit - and 924 models are only allocated a small number of places - so book up early!

For Porsche 924 FrontRun bookings:
924(at)porscheclubgb.com [replace (at) with @]
or on 07940 441452 (6-10pm)

If you wish to learn more about using tulip maps and taking part in non competitive road rallies them please contact Eoin Sloan on racecar(at)porscheclubgb.com or on 01225 722681, he will give you more details about a Rally Driver/Navigation School day on 30th March 2008 just prior to FrontRunner at:

Heritage Motor Centre
Banbury Road, Gaydon, Warwickshire
CV35 0BJ
www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk

Also bring all your front engine Porsche spare parts and pass them onto those that can put them to good use at the FrontRunnerJumble, it will cost you nothing to sell your bits and pieces, just sell your items from the boot of your car, this means you can bring along those small items that you normally couldn't sell "" no tables or vans allowed.

Schizophrenia is a woman isn't she, with the latin 'a' suffix?

Talking about women and hijacking poor old Paul and Geoff's thread on the event there're putting so much effort in, the absolutest best car quote I ever came across is by someone called O' Rourke and I paraphrase as I can't find it "there's absolutely nothing like doing a ton down a suburban side street with a teenage lovely by one's side removing her tank top while one is half a bottle of chivas down the can in a lambo".

Can't understand why I was kicked out of the lambo club when I had such a popular column titled 'Discipline' in their newsletter. I think it had something to do with an Essex lad in a countach freaking out at seeing me at a a Silverstone event when PCGB was still assigned parking up in Scotland.

PS For those new to the Forum, don't worry, I'm a bottle of champagne and a few stellas down the can after Tesco were selling off their fresh sage at 7p a bag - well, I had to make some fresh sage and onion stuffing for the freezer, and no real chef cooks without a tipple or three..,

I'm sorry if I am going off topic by memtioning Frontrunner
(that is sarcasm in case you hadn't noticed) but we now have a number 1 car
It is a 924S

Contact me for 924 road rally entries for FrontRunner.

Places are limited - first come first served!
