Well the Britcar 24hr race will be run again at Silverstone in 2015. Lots of info doing the rounds about it just now and see here for a link if you might be thinking of entering: http://www.britcar24hr.co.uk/home/endurance-racing-returns-silverstone-2015/

The news is that a 'frontrunner' Porsche 968 (or 944 S3!) has been entered by Jonathan Evans with preparation by the Eacocks at EMC. It is my old orange car with a full refresh. The other drivers are Ben Demetriou, Alex Eacock and yours truly. NB the car last ran in this race in 2007, which was the 'Top Gear' year.

The team is using the event as a major fundraiser for the Childrens Heart Federation

See more info below in the following posts as it unfolds.

ps .......... come and spectate if you can, IMO it is one of the best spectator events in the UK as you can access all areas except the pit lane with a std ticket.

Just had a bit of an update: Ben D has told me that the mechanical work on the car should be finished at the end of March by EMC, then a shakedown + run in, before we map the fresh engine on a dyno against the exact fuel supplied in the race. ........... so plans developing nicely for the car.

A gentle nudge about our fundraising effort. Can I appeal to you all to think about making a donation of any size through JustGiving towards our ambitious charity total. 2 donations so far on our way to a £24k total -- The Children's Heart Federation is such a worthy cause and needs little introduction.

Giving link here, your proceeds from JustGiving and any Gift Aid uplift goes direct to the charity : https://www.justgiving.com/Team-CHF500
