Frontrunner

It's only a couple of months away. I was talking to Clive (white 928) at the pub and we're going to meet up around the Copthorne/Three Bridges area to drive up to Cornbury House on May 1st for Frontrunner.

Anyone else care to join up on the way?

Phil

Frontrunner - Sunday 1st May 2005

924, 924 Carrera GT, 928, 944, 968 and Cayenne models

Come and join us at FRONTRUNNER 2005; the second Club meeting of all front engined Porsche cars, the first, in 2004, was a great success and saw a large grouping of every model - including the biggest turnout of 968 cars seen together up to that point!
The event will be much the same format as last year with an organised run out with route map, special guests, model line ups, a display of one car each outside the Club Office entrance, hot snacks to buy on site as well as the facilities of Cornbury House including the Club shop. I look forwards to seeing you at Porsche Club GB, Cornbury House, Cotswold Business Village, Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, GL56 0JQ from 11am.

As you'll see from Paul's post, you're welcome to join the run and make it an excuse to visit HQ, but you'll have to park the SC around the corner [:D][:D]

Someone will give you a lift for the last couple of hundred yards....[;)]

Hi Phil,

Just arrived back from holiday (sounds like I missed a great run last saturday) and I can confirm that I am still on for a convoy up to Cornbury House. It'd be great if we can get a few more to join us or to arrange some meeting points along the route.

It might also stop me getting lost along the way! [:)]

Cheers

Welcome back Clive - looks like just us 2 at the moment, but I suggest we mention it at the next pub night as not everyone reads the forum.

see you at the Gardeners..........Phil

Yes, the last drive was wild [:)]

Sounds like a plan, I'll see you at the PCGB meet on the 5th.

I hope to be able to make the April Saturday run on the 16th as well, may as well get the Old Girl exercised! [:D]

Cheers

Clive

Hi Clive, are you still OK for Frontrunner? Haven't got any other takers yet.

Phil

Hi Phil,

I'm still up for our two car convoy to the Frontrunner meet. My preference would be to get there fairly early, what do you think?

Cheers
Clive

I'll have to see, it depends on who in the family wants to come with me - what time did you have in mind?

Phil

Apparently it starts at 11.00am but opens around 10.30am.

I would like to get there as close to 10.30 as possible, that way it will be easier to park and we can leave a little earlier if necessary.

Cheers
Clive

How about meeting up in the big lay-by between the Copthorne Hotel and the M23? You know where I mean? - the one where they're always selling flowers.

If we set off from there at 8:45 we should get to HQ by 10:30.

Phil

hmmm....... could be in doubt now - see my other post of this evening.... [:(][:(]
