Fuchs alloys

Well hello again. What's the best way to clean my Crome alloy bits on my alloys they have tarnished a bit under the cover during the winter

I thought that 'original' Fuchs were anodised, not chromed??

I know that with some of the replica Fuchs it is easy to polish the 'anodising' (if that's what it is on these) off and get a highly polished finish. I know as I did this on my son's SC.

Cheers,

Richard

Crome (or even chrome) on a Fuchs?

Are you sure?

Thanks again. Probably best if I had said silver shiny bits. Just that they have had a bad winter. Should this be because I had a cover on it and it was not a breathable one Car was in my garage cover was an indoor porsche cover. Not original cover[:D]

If the conditions under your cover caused your wheels to tarnish, then it would have destroyed your paintwork!
I'm guessing that the anodising has been removed at some time in the past and you put the car away after your last drive without cleaning the brake-dust off the wheels.
Use Autosolve to clean the damage off, keep them clean and coat them in Vaseline or something similar before a long lay-up. Ideally, get them refurbished, including re-anodising.
Just my opinion, of course, but I hope it helps.
