Fuchs replica wheels

Hello,

I am thinking of buying some 7x16 and 9x16 replica Fuchs.
Anyone tried them ?
Are they exact replicas ?
Are they strong enough ?
Are they very heavy ?

Any pics on 944s would be nice too :)

Look great, but no idea of quality and weight ?
I was thinking of the 17" lineas myself at one tome, Porsche Centres are now selling originals again !

The only freshly made ones I know of are these, bta that is only because they appear in the Demon Tweeks motorsport catalogue:

In all the time I have been around 944's and their discussion on the internet I have never heard of anyone here in the UK getting an aftermarket set of copy Fuchs for their car. Having said that though those wheels above in 9" width and something like 30mm offset would look awesome on my race car.

You seem to have a 944S2 racecar
Would these fit ???

The quality of Fuch-a-likes varies; from not bad to sh!te. Compomotive used to make an exception to this rule, but they ceased production of their three piece Fuch centres a couple of years ago...

Would be pretty much perfect, I run 4x 16"x8" wide 968 cup 1 wheels with 20mm spacers. As the offset is 52mm a wheel with something around 30mm offset wouldn't require the spacers and the deep dish of the wheels would look awesome. In theory I can run either 245 or 225 wide tyres all round but I believe it always works better on track to have a tyre that fits tight on the rim, 245 wide tyres on 8" rims have a very slight bulge to them whereas 225 sits nice and square. Note that on my race car the rear arches are rolled and on the front the camber keeps the top edge of the tyre nicely inside the arch. Note also that 944 S2 race cars have successfully ran at the front using both the 225 and 245 tyres so there is no hard and fast rule about what is ideal.
