Fuchs Wheels

Please can anyone help me with a couple of Fuchs Wheels I have. The part numbers on the rear of the wheels are 901 361 016 00. The wheels sizes are 5.5J x 14. I am stuggling to find this part number in the classic catalogues as I wish to find out if the wheels are magnesium or aluminium for refurbishing. Any help would be most helpfull

All Fuchs rims are forged aluminium, not magnesium. If you need them refurbished correctly, it's a service I offer, and have probably done a thousand to both original and correct RSR finish

Thanks nick for your reply. I have found classic parts lists that detail wheels with the prefix of 901 are magnesium and the wheels with prefix 911 are aluminum, but i cant find wheels with the part number ending 016 as mine are. The only ones I can find that have a starting part number the same but they end in 017. So I am a little confused as to what I have. I hope that makes sense? I may just sell them rather than carry out a full refurb so would like to know what the numbers mean.

The only magnesium rim fitted to 911s was the 5.5" x 15 "Mahle gasburner" (901 361 017 00) which is a completely different design to the Fuchs.

The current part number for the 5.5 x 14 Fuchs is 911 361 016 90, still available from Porsche! The part numbers do change over the years and I don't have an old 14" rim to check. If you want to sell I have a customer who wants to put a set on his 912, so please let me know.
