My 2.5 lux has just done 460 miles to the tank covering majority of driving on motorway at about 70/80mph,with approx 100 of those miles in normal speed traffic.I would like to compare figures with anybody else.
Cheers
Alan

460 Miles!!! Your not using enough right foot! I never got over 300 miles in my old lux even when taking it easy (that was about £45-50 per tank rather than the bigger £70-80 tank in the turbo)

Going by my figures I should be well pleased[:)]

Don't listen to Ben, He's not usually to be seen at 70 on the motorway, or in "normal speed traffic....[8|] [:D][:D]

You should easily get mid-30s at that sort of cruising speed, and only dip below 30 in very heavy traffic. Of course, driving it like it is a hire car will reduce this....

Its probably down to appreciating that the car is over 21 years old and I would hate to kill it[]However I do open her up on motorways[;)]

I get around 350 to 375 miles on my S2, I think the tank is about 60 litres, it's very consistent, I've noticed the fuel needle doesn't adjust quickly enough when I'm traveling but drops a chunck when I stop, so the moto is?!

That sounds about similar to the best I got out of the S2 when it was a daily driver. I hated using the thing to commute however since I used the average about 18 mpg, on long runs it was fine. The S2 drinks fuel when cold.

I also own a 2.5 lux, do nearly all motorway driving, fill up every week and check the result at the end of the week. 460 is about the same as me. If I put my foot down I can get as little as 415 and if I take it easy I can get as much as 500 but thats very dull!

whoever used to pay £45 to £50 per tank must have been going back a while. £65 to fill mine! Debating if I should change to a diesel but I just cant bring myself to do it.

I get a fairly consistent 26mpg in Winter and 28mpg in Summer for mixed driving.

On long trip, 30mpg is the norm although I have got upto 33mpg once.

The tank holds 80 litres, my biggest refill was 79.21 litres for 558 miles but as I was refilling in Luxembourg, it 'only' cost €74. (I keep a record, perhaps a little sad, but my dad used to and it gives me something to do!!)
