Fuel economy gauge flickering?

Mine was due to water getting into the fuel sender. it was OK once it dried out

So true. I thought it was a vacuum gauge as well. But as Rick has one on Baby Wuf (and knows about such things) he must know what he is talking about.

Is there some confusion here, the fuel guage works off the fuel sender, The economy guage is a vacuum guage so I would imagine it has a sender on the inlet manifold, or a vacuum pipe down to the ecu like the turbo boost guage - except it goes to the klr box which an na car doesnt have.
