Fuel Filler Flap

Cad,

It sounds as though there’s a problem with the motor and/or release mechanism if the manual pull-ring isn’t doing the trick. You’ll have to remove the wheel arch liner and have a dig a round to see what’s going on.

I think it’s a fairly common problem … maybe there was a recall?

Morning All,

My Cayman's fuel flap isn't releasing when pushed in anymore. Went to fill up the other day and when I was at the pump, push flap in a bit to release it a normal, and it would come out. Had to use a bit of force to get it to release. I know there is the cable in the door post, but that didn't do anything either. Had a good look at it and couldn't see anything broken or jammed.

Is this something that can be fixed quite easily or do I need to book it into the OPC which is an hour away from where I live? Anyone else had problems like this?

Thanks

Cad
