Hi I was going to change the fuel filter on my 2002 boxster 2.7 does anyone know the fitting location of the filter cheers K

Porsche did away with an owner replaceable filter for model year 2002 when it went to the returnless system.

Even before then it was 60,000 miles and I doubt you have that.

Hi Bub,
The filter should be located under the car below the seats, you have to remove a large plastic underside protector to get at it. Loosen the filler cap, remove the protector, undo an earth wire, have something to catch any fuel drips.
To undo the fuel lines from the filter squeze the retaining collars on either side (these are on the filter body where the pipes go in and out of the filter) Undo the filter retainig strap and pull the filter backwards. When replacing make sure you get the direction right, replacment is the reverse procedure, replace the earth strap and check for leaks befor putting the protector back, close the filler cap.
Let me know how you get on.

Hi Bryn. I have changed the fuel filter but I still have the same fault with the car which is that it will not rev past 2500 rpm. Very occationly it will work and it will run fine until you stop the engin and then and then it will not rev again.
