Fuel Line Fittings

Can anybody tell me the size of the threaded fittings were the hoses mate with the hard lines by the fuel filter? My hard lines are fine but the fittings on both the pipes and the hoses have suffered badly with corrosion, I'm looking to replace them in situ whilst I'm doing everything else under the car.

I don't know the answer to your question but I can tell you that you can't replace the fittings in situ. The hard line has a flared end which means you can't remove the male fitting from it and the flexible hose has a crimp shell which means the female fitting on it is also not a replaceable part.

AFAIK, the only way to replace corroded fittings would be to replace the complete components either with OE parts or have replacements made by Pirtek or similar.

As the top of tank to fuel line hose is NLA I plan to replace the hose and cut the fitting off and secure with a couple of hose clips. With the filter to hard line I plan again to remove the current fittings and use a new fitting on a short piece of hose clamped to the hard line, other than that I will be ordering new tank to filter and filter to hard line hoses.

I cant justify replacing the whole hard lines when there's nothing really wrong with them.
