Fuel lines

I have noticed that the fuel lines (i think its the fuel lines!!!) are showing signs of cracking on my 3.2. I am thinking about replacing them with braded ones. Do any of you know where to get these , I presume they need to be bought as ready to fit lengths ie no cutting to do. Also when removing the old ones is there likely to be much pressure in the pipe?

Probably wont be any in the return pipe back to the tank, but therer will definately be pressure in the feed pipe to the fuel rails.

Thanks Andrew. Porsche Swindon have been very helpful and are very keen on supporting classic Porsches. On my agenda for later in the week, if they have a suitable target. They are also a lot closer than Banbury!

Basicallly pre 2001 (approx) rubber is not compatible with the solvent effects of E10 fuel. Eventually the fuel lines will fail with potentially disastrous consequences. I have an ’85 Carrera 3.2 and will be replacing all rubber fuel lines as a minimum. As regards internal seals in the injection system, will probably wait and see how they cope with the new fuel.
