Fuel Low Level Light

Hello, I'm a bit confused by this one.

Had to change my battery a few weeks back and have recently noticed that my fuel light no longer illuminates at 50ish miles to go (according to OBC). It now comes on as it goes ---???

Is it a coincidence or have I done something while replacing the battery??

Fuel Gauge works perfectly.

Thanks.

C2 and half filled it last night, probably most I've put in since, everything lights up as normal when you turn ignition on??? [8|]

I thought it might be a C4, which has the "saddle" tank and gives false readings when the battery is disconnected when the fuel level is low.

A bit of a mystery. I guess you could try pulling the instrument cluster fuses (B1 and B10) in an attempt to re-start it. Other than that, I can only suggest a diagnostic check, to see if any fault codes are stored in the cluster.

Hiya, been living with my fuel light not indicating correctly, and recently worked out it is an intermittent fault sometimes it lights up others nothing at all even when --- indicated on my OBC display. Have had a quick look under the bonnet near the battery but don't know if any of the wiring there is from the fuel tank low level light???

The fuel tank and pump/level connections are under the plate which the battery sits on. Highly unlikely that you disturbed anything when you changed the battery, but the only way to check would be to remove the battery and plate, and take a look.
