Fuel Neck

Today I removed the Fuel Pump restriction in the Filler Neck which had come loose.
It was preventing the Filler Cap seating properly, and on a full tank allowing spillage on sharp lefts.
I think it was caused by a ham fisted attendant a few years back.
Is this a common problem?

Hi George I had the same problem with mine where the ring at the top of the neck came loose and I had trouble getting the pump nozzle out.The neck ring is still loose, however I did manage to wedge it into the neck enough to secure the filler cap.
It still works okay as long as Iam carefull when removing the cap.
