Had a bit of a strange thing today, took the 911 out, I had her running in the garage for a few mins at cold start before opening and getting her out, so it smelt rich in the car, no problem I thought - it would go away when I got on the road and it did.
I don't know if it was my imagination, or my nose, but I could of sworn that every now and then I was getting wafts of fuel when I came to a standstill at traffic lights or when pulling up to traffic after moving, and a fresh-ish smell.
She didn't use much fuel at all, so that is fine - no leaks to speak of.
I put recycle air on and everything was fine in traffic with the air con, then when moving, but as I mentioned I am sure when pulling up or when I restarted her after I stopped for a coffee that I was getting a waft of fuel again.
I'm guessing there is a hose that vents to atmosphere through a canister at the front tank, and then of course the filler, but I got out and had a good look around and couldn't see or smell anything in those areas. One thing I did notice that when I put her in the garage the smell of Porsche seemed stronger in there than usual! Any ideas?
Cheers,
