A slightly strange thing happened on the way home from Oulton Park yesterday, I was on the motorway at a steady pace and the car began to jerk/hesitate a little as if it was suffering from fuel starvation. Pulled over in a service station and had a quick look around, opened the fuel cap filler valve etc. Got back on the motorway and the car was fine all the way back.
Any idea why this happens and what's the best way to avoid. Caused mild panic for a few seconds when it first happened which I would like to avoid again. Ajit suggested filling the tank fully to expel any air that was left - any other thoughts?
