Just found my fuel tank leaking.[:-]
Been recommended by Simon @ Porsch-Part to try a company that will repair the tank and will give a life times guarantee.
Is there something wrong with the design because when I had taken the tank to this company there and behold thay had two more in, Thay said that thay repair minimum of one a week same place on all, or am I missing the point on a old car 1989 3.2 carrera.[8D]
Well gentleman just to be on the safe side I think you should check your fuel tank[8|]

Folks, mine leaked a full tank of juice a couple of years ago, due to a leak just behind the big drain plug. I removed the tank (easy, peezy) and had my Independent repair it with some magic plasticine type substance and then paint over the whole area. The repair is still holding well. I understand the 911 tank to be susceptible to damage in this area due to bottoming-out on the road. The rubbery coating gets scraped off exposing the metal surface to corrosion.
