Went out yesterday in the CS with just over a half a tank of fuel and left the car standing in a car park for about 8 hours before I went home. On the way back I was very excited to see that the guage now showed that I had a full tank despite not having been anywhere near a petrol station, so either I had a mystery benefactor or I have found the answer to the fuel crisis. [] Sadly I don't think either option is likely. I do find though that every time I fill up when I take the fuel cap off the tank seems to have pressurised and I can only assume that it is this that affected the fuel guage somehow. Is this pressuring normal for the CS because I have never experienced it on any other car?

Pressurising is quite normal for a lot of cars.
All my jap cars have done it, but I could not say if its normal for a 968 .
I suppose that now fuel pumps are installed in the tank and cooled by the liquid fuel, and as the tanks are not fully vented to control emissions, then there will be an amount of expansion of the fuel/vapour thus pressurising the tank. The fuel sender should not be affected by this.
