HI All,
Has anyone any experience of repairing a fuel tank using the rubberised solution that Frost Restorers catalogue sells.....it's an American product POR-15?
My tank is leaking on the front seam slightly & this product claims to form a rubber tank inside any steel tank for £48.50 plus pp.
Altenatively does anyone know where to buy a new tank for a reasonable price ie not main agent prices!
Ta.

Hi, yep, used this product.... but my tank wasn`t leaking, just rusty inside. Details here...

Considered having your tank welded up ?

Regards, Mike.

Tony at Carrera Enginnering & Motorsport has just had the same problem and used a sealing pack to sort the problem, Whilst the tank was out he also re stone chipped the outside and sprayed it.
I do not know what system he used but contained solutions for cleaning, washing and sealing the tank.
If you give him a ring he would probably tell you, took 4 days to dry out I think.
