Been reading something on mot regs that states the sun visor must be capable of being stored in the up position. Is there any truth in this ? what do others with cages do ? I don't really want to take the front half out if i can help it.

No Charles . Think it's only if you have visors fitted. Mine are still on. But are in the down position and the cage stops them being folded up.The screws to take them off are behind the cage too[] so i may have to take the cage out to get to them.

mine is as for rsphil , ie down , cannot be parked up but you get used to looking through a slit !! Never any issue with MOT ( cage went in in 2003 )

993RS has them removed, and passed.

NG-T has one, and passed.

GT3 has both permanently down, and passed ...

I hope this helps Jason [;)]

Mine had one for German TUV, just clipped around the cage -removed ages ago and floating around the garage somewhere..............

Really Chris? Mine doesn't yet another little difference.

I guess the answer is to find a friendly MOT man, then hang on to him!
