Fuse ratings.

964 Turbo 1991

Would like to know the correct ratings for the four fuses in the engine compartment underneath the plastic cover on the left hand side? Would also like to know what they protect? I know two of them protect each of the rear wheel arch blower fans. What are the other two for?

I can't find any mention in the owners manual nor Bentleys enthusiasts companion. I've got 7.5A for each of the blowers and 25A in the other two.

Air conditioning blower and compressor clutch on one fuse, heated rear window on another. The two 25A fuses for the rear blowers. On the non-Turbo 964 the rear blower fuse (only one on n/a) was uprated to 30A without any other change to the wiring to prevent regular blown fuses. I don't know if the Turbo was similarly uprated.

You ought to get a copy of Adrian Streather's book on the 964 - it's full of useful information like this.

Regards

Dave
