garage recommendation?

I just bought a 944 (1985) which I am really happy with. It has a few minor electrical/switch problems (passenger window wont go up/down, handbrake light stays on etc)
and it looks like the radiator might be leaking a bit, but it goes like the clappers!

Anyway, the guy I bought it off said not to take it to a Porsche garage as they are too expensive. So does anyone have any recommendations as to where
to get it fixed up? I'm in Wandsworth.

Cheers

GT 1 in Chertsey did my Cam Belt and were very reasonably priced, hence I've booked my big service with them later this month.

Also Craig and Pete are real enthusiasts, Craig's 964 was in 911&Porsche World a couple of months ago.

I might have a go at doing the switches myself. Does anyone have any experience on fixing the handbrake light?
Or getting the electric windows to work?

Thanks

The switch for the handbrake light is at the base of the handbrake lever, sounds like it might be stuck. Pull away the carpeting to get a better view or maybe even remove the drivers seat.

You could try Redhead Automotive in Kent. We have an open day there in September, see the events faq for details. They could probably have a look on the day at little problems like this by way of a demonstration.

Get hold of a Haynes manual for the car, they have drawings and basic electrical troubleshooting guides which may not cover your exact problem but the circuit theory side of it is all the same. The Clarks Garage online guides are very good too. First port of call check the fuses.
