Garage recommendations

Hi All,

I have been a PCGB member for over 10 years, mainly involved with 356s. I have recently bought a 968CS and wondered if anyone could recommend a good mechanic/garage in the Leeds or Bradford area that has knowledge of these cars.

Many thanks

Strasse in Leeds are well known Porsche specialist. How far do you want to travel ? As there are some good ones around Manchester and a very good one in Cumbria.

Not sure if Malton is too far for you (15 miles east of York)
Specialist Cars of Malton have looked after each of my Porsches (Boxster, 993C4, 968 Sport ~ Current Car) I would recommend them to anybody. www.specialistcarsltd.co.uk

Thanks for the advice.
Cumbria maybe a bit too far, unless it's something major.
Which ones in the Manchester area would you recommend?

I have heard of Specialist Cars of Malton, but didn't know anything about their mechanical side so will check them out.
Otherwise, Strasse will be my best bet as they are the most local.

I use Hartech in Bolton. Barry (the proprietor) is, if I remember correctly, the technical advisor to the PCGB's 968 register. (No doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong!). They do loads of 944s and 968s.

I've been taking my 968 Sport to them for years and I am happy to recommend them.

Rob

birmingham isnt "that" far to travel from Leeds... and it's worth it to get EMC look after the car.

Wow! Thanks for all the responses.
Looks like Hartech is the place to go up north! I have heard of a couple of the others but haven't used any of them for the 356s.

With regards to Garage recommendations, for anyone within the Bristol catchment area, I can thoroughly recommend Advanced Car Care in Filton Bristol. Ed, Pete and co are very enthusiastic, and have 30 yrs plus Porsche experience.

They are looking after my 968 like it was their own. you can find them on 0117 944 1 944, or www.advancedcarcare.co.uk
