Was talking to a 911 SC owner a couple of weeks ago who said he had just had an engine rebuilt by a specialist in Fountainpark / Dalry area but I wasn't sure who he meant. Anyone know who it is around there?

Probably Brian Miller, who is at Slateford, pretty much the same area. As it happens I have been using Brian quite a bit these last few months to chase down gremlins on my 924. He knows his way around the transaxle cars blindfold, which saves a lot of time, cos he invariably knows what's wrong and how to fix it without faffing about. Top bloke!

its probably David Philips at Fountainpark / Dalry. I believe he used to be a Porsche Edinburgh supervisor/mechanic and in my view is first class, honest and competitive price wise. Although my 911 Turbo has always had a Porsche warranty he never had any problem assessing issues and giving me advice. Certainly well worth visiting.

That's him ! I first thought the guy was talking about Brian then I realised it was definitely not the case. I hadn't heard of him either.
